Curriculum

I graduated from Florence University with a degree in Art History and later I took a University Master in Art History specializing in History of Restoration of Works of Art.

In 1998, taking an examination, I became a professional Licensed Tour Guide in Florence.

Even working as a guide, I’ve been always devoted to other jobs that allowed me to complete my knowledge and make new professional experiences in the art world.

I worked in restoration field with Guido Botticelli, my father, restorer of frescoes well known in Italy as well as abroad (www.guidobotticelli.it). Together we have published several articles in specialized magazines and in 2008 our book “Lectures on restoration” came out.

I have been a teacher of ‘Art Techniques’ and ‘History and Theory of Restoration’ in the International University of Art (U.I.A.) of Florence and the Universities of Modena and Ferrara.

In 2006 my book “The fascination of illusion. History and techniques of Scagliola” was published  and I have recently been the curator of the Florentine exhibition “Alchemies of Colors. The art of scagliola works”.

In addition to my studies, I always practiced sport. I have been in the Athletics national team (middle distances runner) and I took part to events like Mediterranean Games (1993), World University Championships (Dijon FRA 1992, Buffalo USA 1993) and others. My Personal Best are:  5000mt on track 15:31.81 (Arzignano, ITA 1993), 3000 mt  8:55.89 (Golden Gala Roma, 1994). These experiences have allowed me to develop a particular discipline and ethical integrity, an ability to "team" that I’m experiencing  daily in my work.

Presently, I'm mainly running to take care of my children, but although I gave up racing, jogging always makes me feeling better.
